A Safe, Compassionate Space to Be Heard, Understood, and Supported

The heart of man is very much like the sea. It has its storms, it has its tides, and in its depths, it has its pearls too.”

Welcome

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming; you may be experiencing a crisis or have been struggling for some time. Some of the difficulties we may face include anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, family issues, life transitions, low self-esteem, bereavement, suicidal ideation, work-related stress, and burnout. You may be exploring identity issues, existential or spiritual matters, seeking greater self-understanding, or meaning and purpose in life. Therapy can help, and you have taken a courageous first step by considering support.

I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you will be listened to and feel heard. We will inevitably all face moments of adversity and periods of distress in life. I aim to help you make sense of these challenges and find meaningful ways forward. We will work collaboratively to help you gain insight and understanding of what you may be experiencing, nurture your inner strength, resilience, self-awareness, and capacity for change, fostering a greater sense of agency, empowerment, and hope for the future.

How I Can Help You

As an integrative psychotherapist, I work primarily from a relational and holistic perspective. I tailor my approach to your unique needs, drawing from a range of theoretical approaches and evidence-based therapeutic practices, including person-centred, humanistic-existential, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), polyvagal theory, somatic, narrative, ecotherapy, and mindfulness-based perspectives. This means our work together is shaped by identifying what approach best supports your healing and personal growth.

I have a particular interest in the concept of neurodiversity, recognising and celebrating the many ways people think, experience the world and process information. Whether you identify as neurodivergent or are exploring the possibility of neurodivergence, psychotherapy can provide a supportive space to understand and navigate the challenges that can arise with neurodivergent traits, while taking a neuro-affirmative approach to acknowledge the strengths and unique perspectives that come with a different lens through which to see the world.

What to Expect

  • Professionalism, Support, and a Safe, Confidential Space: You will be treated with empathy, respect, and compassion in a supportive environment.

  • Personal Growth: Therapy can help you rewrite unhelpful life stories or scripts and limiting self-beliefs, develop new coping strategies and life skills, increase self-acceptance, and hope for the future.

  • Collaboration: Therapy privileges the inner world and offers a unique opportunity to feel listened to and understood. Together, we will explore the thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and behaviours that may be holding you back, nurturing self-awareness and making the unconscious conscious, leading to greater resilience and wellbeing.

  • Flexible Support: I offer both in-person sessions in Castletroy and Limerick City Centre and online appointments via Zoom or WhatsApp, making therapy accessible wherever you are.

If you are ready to take the next step or want to find out more, please get in touch for a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to supporting you on your path towards healing, self-discovery, personal growth and positive life change.
